About Us

We don’t treat just pain, we treat the dysfunction that is creating the pain.

It is our belief that the body needs to be treated first and then supported with an exercise program as opposed to trying to make changes with exercise alone. Exercise alone will only treat the dysfunction. That is why our method of treatment is so effective with difficult injuries and pain patterns.

Our treatments are tailored to each patient with the goal of decreasing pain and restoring function. This allows you to return to doing what you love.

We have expertise in many treatment methods. Therefore, each visit may be different based upon how you respond. We give gentle exercises along with movement re-education training. There is an emphasis on body mechanic principles.

If you don’t know what you are doing, you can’t change it. We look at your alignment in movement and then demonstrate, guide, and support you in the new awareness of what it is that contributes to the pain.

Our mission is to give you the highest possible care so you may live a full and enjoyable life without pain.

“Pathways is different from other physical therapy entities as they do not have set ways of treating individuals and issues. Their on-going assessment of the client each session and adjustment of the treatment based on verbal and physical input increases effectiveness and decreases the time required to make progress.”

 Linda Craig, Founder & Owner

Linda Craig graduated from the Physical Therapy Program at University of Texas Health Science Center in 1989 and moved back to her home state of Washington to work in a busy practice. After several years of working with the basics of Physical Therapy, she was frustrated with the limitations of this modality, Linda decided to seek out new ways of understanding how the body works treating dysfunction.

Her search led her to a 4-year training program in the Feldenkrais Method® that changed her life. She was astounded by the powerful results of incorporating these gentle techniques into her practice. Later, fueled by this same passion and dedication to therapy, Linda completed courses of study in Osteopathic Techniques, Bowen, EMMETT, Craniosacral, Vascular Bone therapy and Postural Restoration. She has also studied Reiki and

other energy work as a way of examining the connection between the mind, the physical body, and the emotional plane.

Linda’s practice focuses on making sure patients use the best possible body mechanics and postural alignment during activities. She combines techniques from all of her years of training and experience.

Joan Douglass, Scheduler

After graduating from college with a bachelor’s degree, Joan worked in educational administration and then homeschooled her three kids for 10 years. She first came to Pathways Physical Therapy as a patient in 2016. She had suffered a shoulder injury and went to a traditional physical therapy practice, which caused further damage to the shoulder. She had almost resigned herself to living with chronic pain when a friend told her about Pathways and said, “They are different!” She experienced great relief and results at Pathways, and when a position in the office came open she was honored to join the staff.
